A piece about female sensuality. I have the utmost respect for the female form and am no stranger to referencing it in my art. I, like all women, have had to fight continuously against the notion of my body being open for discussion, open for consumption. Being relatively confident since I was a child, I imagine many who were looking to strip me of my power quickly realized that I became undone at any mention of the ways my body didn’t fit the standard. After poking around a bit, looking for an insecurity, they would often times decide that robbing me of my autonomy would be the easiest way.
